This option is a way for citizens and permanent residents over the age of 18 to sponsor their relatives to come to Canada.
You can sponsor certain relatives to come to Canada if you are:

• A Canadian citizen or
• Person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act or
• Permanent Resident of Canada.

FEDERAL SKILLED WORKERS PROGRAM
This program offers permanent residency to skilled professionals who can contribute to the Canada’s economy.
This program has minimum requirements for:

• Skilled work experience
• Language ability
• Education

You must meet all the minimum requirements to be eligible.

FEDERAL SKILLED TRADES PROGRAM
This program offers permanent residency for qualified skill trade workers who can contribute to the Canada’s economy.
To be eligible, you must-
Meet the required language levels for each language ability

• Have at least of 2 years of full-time work experience (or an equal amount of part-time experience) in a skill trade within the 5 years before you apply.
• Meet the job requirements for the skilled trade as set out in the National Occupational Classification, except for needing a certificate of qualification.
• Have a valid job offer of full-time employment for a total period of at least 1 year, or
• Certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a Canadian province or territory.

You must meet all the minimum requirements to be eligible.

PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM
This program is for workers who have the skill, education and work experience to the economy of a specific province or territory.
Each province and territory has its own streams and requirements. For example, in a program stream, provinces and territories may target:

• Students
• Business people
• Skilled workers
• Semi-skilled workers
